FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Do all courses take place at the same time during the training week?

Yes, exactly. All courses run parallel to each other. You can either take a single course or one of our combination courses.

How much time should I plan for a course during the training week?

You should plan around 16 hours for the Modelica training course. All other courses require around 8 hours each. The time allocation within the training week is flexible and entirely up to you.

What happens if I have a question or get stuck on a programming task?

Our experienced trainers are happy to assist you. In personal video meetings, they answer individual questions and help with specific tasks.

How do I arrange a one-to-one video meeting with a trainer?

During the training week, you can flexibly arrange appointments between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (CEST) at any time via a booking link.

Do I need special software for the training?

We provide you with all the necessary software and licences for the training period. Depending on the course, these include Dymola or Modelon Impact as development environments, as well as our TIL and PSL model libraries.

Why are training places limited – it's an online training course, after all?

We place great value on personal support. In order to be able to guarantee individual support in a timely manner and because only a limited number of software licences are available, the number of participants is limited.

Will I receive proof of my participation?

Yes, of course. Upon successful completion of a course, you will receive an official certificate. The prerequisite is that you complete all video tutorials and the corresponding programming exercises.

How challenging are the courses?

Our Modelica basic course can be taken without any specific prior knowledge. A technical degree and general programming experience are helpful, but not essential. The same applies to the TIL and PSL training courses – however, we recommend that you take the Modelica course first. For the TIL Advanced course, you should already have in-depth experience with Modelica and TIL.
